IRF Projects from 1971 to 2014
The long table below displays the 230 projects, worth a total of over $9.1 million in external funding, that Island Resources Foundation has executed since its founding in the early 1970s (incorporated in 1970, operational in 1972, and sunsetted in 2016).
The list can be viewed by using the right-side and bottom sliders to see all entries, for a full-sized version of the table, click on the download button at the bottom of the table display.
Seven years before this table was assembled (in November, 2007), IRF president Bruce Potter posted an essay about the political and policy environment affecting the fund raising/marketing options of small-to-mid-sized environmental NGOs in the the insular Caribbean. Building on the preliminary information conveyed in the table above, we have published a more extensive and detailed exposition of the year-to-year pattern of fund raising over the history of the Foundation that might be of interest to students of civil society organizations.
